Parody of Horror

Comedy horror, also referred to as horror comedy, is a literary and film genre that combines elements of comedy and horror fiction.

• Horror Comedy is able to be categorised under Black Comedy and Parody

• Almost always crosses over with black comedy/ gallows humour

• Often will use of satire on horror cliches as it’s main source of humour

• Can take a known horror story in a different perspective, making it completely ridiculous

• Allows audience to laugh at their own fears unlike standard dramatic horror films
