Tim Stackpool is an Australian based on-air presenter, acting as a freelance correspondent for television and radio services around the world.

As well as reporting news and sports on-air, he has developed a respected reputation for recording voice-over announcements for various companies and commercials in Australia.

In Australia, Tim has also produced television documentaries screened on Channel Seven, Channel Ten and The Lifestyle Channel on Foxtel. He first joined the media industry with Channel Nine in Sydney working with the production crew on various programs. Due to his radio news and feature story work, he is a member of the Australian Journalists Association and he was presented with an Honorary Membership into the Australian Cinematographers Society (November 2001) in recognition of his support of Australian Cinematographers both locally and abroad.

Tim worked as an independent foreign correspondent during the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Outside of Australia, his match reports were broadcast by 20 stations, located in New Zealand, South Africa, England, Scotland and Wales. Additionally, he has also presented sports updates for Macquarie National News on weekend mornings, heard on radio 2GB (873 Khz-AM) in Sydney, and on affiliated stations.

His coverage of the disappearance of Peter Falconio and subsequent murder trial of Bradley Murdoch was well recognised throughout Australia and the UK. Producers of the film documenting those events used Tim's reports throughout the movie.

In 2005, he attended the Jeddah Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia, where he produced and directed the multi-camera live coverage for TV networks throughout the Middle East, as well as producing the end of day summary packages for release to the media.

He was retained as Chief Australian Correspondent for the Canadian Economic Press from 2007 until 2009. Also during that time in 2008, he reported on the Rugby League World Cup for radio networks in the north of England. During the 2009 Victorian bushfires, Tim reported for CTV and CBC in Canada. These news agencies and others including Fox News and BBC also featured Tim as a correspondent during the Martin Place hostage situation in Sydney in 2014.

He remains a regular correspondent for agencies around the world, booked via Global Radio News (now GRNLIve) based in London.
